On March 4, 2026, Carlo d’Andrea (Chinese name: 代开乐), Founder and Managing Partner of D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel of DP Group, Vice President of European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, and Chairman of the Shanghai Board, visited School of Foreign Studies with Cao Qian, Government Affairs Manager of DP Group. Professor Yan Guodong, Dean of SFS, Xiang Yu, Associate Secretary of the CPC Committee and Associate Dean of SFS, Professor Yang Lin, director of the Department of Italian, faculty members Dr. Ni Yang and Dr. Ruan Yufeng, and Dr. Letizia Vallini (Chinese name: 乐小悦), foreign teacher at SFS, attended the meeting. The two sides held talks in depth, built consensus, and reached a comprehensive cooperation intention.

Prof. Yan Guodong extended warm welcome to Carlo d’Andrea and his delegation. He introduced the educational strengths, talent cultivation model, and disciplinary development achievements of the Italian program at SFS. The Italian program maintained strong momentum and ranked among the top in China. Leveraging the university’s interdisciplinary advantages, it implemented a dual-degree composite talent training model. Graduates possessed proficiency in Chinese, Italian, and English, as well as solid comprehensive professional competence. Yan noted that SFS aimed to broaden internship and practice channels for students by drawing on corporate resources, so as to continuously improve talent cultivation efficacy.
