Recently, the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission announced the results of the 2025 Research Project Plan for Graduate Education Reform in Higher Education Institutions in Tianjin. The School of Foreign Studies (SFS) at Nankai University achieved outstanding results in this round of evaluation, with two graduate education and teaching reform projects successfully approved. This accomplishment highlights the SFS’s solid foundation and notable achievements in innovating graduate training models, reforming curriculum systems, and strengthening the substance of teaching. Over the years, the SFS has consistently prioritized the high-quality development of graduate education, seizing the opportunities presented by advances in artificial intelligence. It has placed strong emphasis on teaching reform research and practical innovation, continuously strengthening top-level design, optimizing training mechanisms, and improving the quality of project applications. The approval of these two provincial-level teaching reform projects marks a significant achievement in deepening graduate education reform. It will provide strong support for optimizing graduate training programs, innovating educational models, and enhancing students’ comprehensive competencies and practical abilities.
In the future, the SFS will take these projects as an opportunity to steadily advance the implementation of research tasks, actively promote the transformation and application of reform outcomes, and continuously improve the quality of graduate education and disciplinary development, thereby contributing further to the advancement of graduate education at Nankai University.
