In order to implement the spring employment for the 2024 graduates, strengthen the cooperation between the university and enterprises, and expand the employment channels for new graduates, School of Foreign Studies and School of Literature successfully held the “2024 Spring Employment and Internship Joint Dual-Employment Fair” in Langyuan on the afternoon of May 9. This activity also benefits the preparation for the next-year employment season, the establishment of a two-way selection platform for employers and job-seeking students, and the improvement of employment quality.
This mutual-selection job fair combines the format of a dual-selection fair and career experience. This approach ensures that recent graduates can achieve high-quality employment opportunities while also offering a strong support system for non-graduating students to explore their career paths and engage in effective career planning. The event attracted more than 60 employers from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Haikou, and other regions to participate in the meeting. The attendees included state-owned enterprises and departments, leading private enterprises, institutions of higher learning, and secondary schools. The event covered various fields such as education, international trade, finance, and media, offering numerous positions and internships including teachers, operations staff, journalists, management students, and more.
During the job fair activities, the School of Foreign Languages’ Party Committee members, including Secretary Mu Xiangwang, Dean Yan Guodong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Vice President Xiang Yu, Vice President Li Min, Hu Jun, Ma Hongqi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Literature, and Vice Dean Li Guangxin, led the relevant professionals to visit the employing units. This initiative aimed to expand the space for cooperation, establish deep connections, and achieve mutual benefits with each unit in the future.
More than two hundred students from various majors and grades arrived with their resumes and interacted directly with their preferred departments. This dual-selection fair also set up a “career service station” to provide services like resume optimization, career assessment, and career planning. Additionally, they carefully planned fun activities such as “resume checkout”, “2024 Q&A,” and the “MBTI test”. The “MBTI test” and other engaging activities were meticulously planned to assist students in understanding their own strengths and enhancing their job-seeking experience.
