NKU Students Participate in AEON Scholarship Granting Ceremony 2023

On the afternoon of Dec. 17, 2023, the AEON Scholarship Granting Ceremony 2023 hosted by AEON 1% Club, a public-interest-based scholarship foundation, was held in Beijing. Mr. Yoshiki Mori, Chairman of the Club, Minister of the Japanese Embassy Mr. Usui Masato, AEON Group leaders and representatives of the award-winning students and teachers from Nankai University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Beijing International Studies University attended the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Yoshiki Mori, Chairman of AEON 1% Club Foundation, delivered a speech. He first congratulated all the students who won the awards and expressed his high expectations for the students to continue to study hard, achieve economic independence, and strive for their dreams. Afterward, Mr. Usui Masato, Minister of the Japanese Embassy, gave a warm congratulatory address to the winning students.


After that, certificates were presented by Mr. Yoshiki Mori and leaders from AEON 1% to each student who won the scholarship from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Nankai University, and Beijing International Studies University respectively. The winners went on stage one after another to receive their awards and took photos with presenters as well as representatives of their schools.


A total of 25 students from Nankai University obtained this year's AEON Scholarships. Jia Xinyi, a student representative from the College of Foreign Languages of Nankai University, gave a keynote speech titled “My Dream”, sharing her story with AEON as well as her ideals and aspirations.

By Mar. 2023, the AEON Scholarship has covered 7 countries in Asia, supporting a total of 8305 students, and more than half of them are Chinese.
