From May 4th to 6th, the High School Principal Forum of Zhejiang Excellent Student Source Base was held in Nankai University with the theme of "High School and University Collaborative Innovation, Jointly Cultivating Excellent Talents", aiming to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between the College of Foreign Languages and Zhejiang Excellent Student Source Base High Schools in the undergraduate enrollment, deeply discuss enrollment and talent cultivation, and jointly discuss the new model of "high school-university" collaborative innovation and education. More than 60 people participated in the discussion, including more than 10 school leaders from the Excellent Student Source Base High Schools and representatives of Zhejiang teachers and students. Niu Wenli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nankai University, attended the forum and unveiled Excellent Student Source Base High Schools. The person in charge of the College of Foreign Languages presided over the opening ceremony of the forum.
Niu Wenli welcomed the leaders of key high schools in Zhejiang Province to visit Nankai University, introduced in detail the history of education, cultural heritage, patriotic tradition, disciplinary strength, teaching staff, scientific research resources of the university in the past 100 years, and reviewed the historical origin of Nankai University and Zhejiang Province. Niu Wenli expressed his hope to strengthen exchanges with exceptional high schools in Zhejiang Province, jointly cultivate outstanding talents, and better serve national development and national progress on the new century journey of Nankai University.
Yu Xinzhong, a teacher representative from Zhejiang Province and Professor from the Faculty of History of our university, Tao Kaikun, a consultant of Nankai University's Zhejiang Enrollment Team and President of Tianjin Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce, Zhang Wenwang, a student representative from Zhejiang Province of our university and 2017 Chinese Department, respectively introduced their study, work and life in Nankai University, hoping that more Zhejiang students would go to Nankai and grow into talents.
Gao Feng, Principal of Cixi Middle School made a speech on behalf of the attending high schools, thanked Nankai University for carefully organizing this forum, and said that he would fully support Nankai University's enrollment work in Zhejiang, and build a community of outstanding talents cultivation between Zhejiang high schools and Nankai University.
In the keynote report link, the Director of the Academic Affairs Department of Nankai University made a report entitled "Pursuing Excellence in Undergraduate Education of Nankai University", which introduced Nankai University's comprehensive implementation of the Party's education policy, the performance of the fundamental task of moral cultivation, and creation of high-quality Undergraduate education with connotation based development aim to cultivate the concept and practice of comprehensive development, possessing both "public-serving and functional" abilities, and serving China's leading talents.
Li Dongyuan, a member of the Zhejiang Enrollment Team, focused on introducing the basic situation of Nankai University's enrollment publicity in Zhejiang since the reform of the new college entrance examination, the opportunities and challenges faced in 2023, asked headmasters of middle schools, and hoped to get support and help from Zhejiang middle schools in all aspects of enrollment, and work together to do an excellent job in enrollment publicity and consultation in Zhejiang.
Qin Guoqiang, former Director of the Education Bureau of Changxing and former Principal of Changxing High School in Zhejiang Province, presided over the round table conversation between the principals of Excellent Student Source Base High Schools and director of the Education Bureau. The attending representatives spoke one by one and put forward opinions and suggestions on the school's promotion of undergraduate enrollment in Zhejiang under the new situation of college entrance examination reform.
Prior to the meeting, the leaders of the Excellent Student Source Base High Schools and their delegation, accompanied by volunteers from their high schools, visited the Balitai campus and the school history exhibition. The participants agreed that the forum gave them a better understanding of the long history of running Nankai University, its profound cultural heritage, and its responsibilities and responsibilities under the new situation. They all said that after returning to middle schools, they would tell teachers and students about the trip to Nankai, and would like to work with Nankai to continue to cultivate more outstanding students with the spirit of Nankai.
