On March 9, Director Chen Lingyi of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges visited the College of Foreign Languages for research. The two sides fully communicated and exchanged views on issues such as foreign language teachers, international education and academic exchanges, student exchange and study abroad, international exchange resource sharing and collaborative innovation, multilingual website construction, and approval procedures for teachers and students to go abroad on official business.
Chen Lingyi, Director of the International Office, said that the disciplinary characteristics of the College of Foreign Languages determine the high weight and proportion of the work of the College of Foreign Languages in foreign teachers, international exchange of teachers and students, and international cooperation in the overall work of the University. He highly affirmed the work of the College of Foreign Languages in international exchange and expressed his opinion and suggestions on the exchange and communication for overall integrated planning.
Prof. Yan Guodong, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages, welcomed the International Cooperation and Exchange Office to the college for research. He expressed that the College of Foreign Languages fully supports the international exchange and cooperation works of Nankai University, and is willing to provide guarantee for the international development and double-class construction of the University and contribute to the strengthening of the international communication power of Nankai University.
Assoc. Prof. Wang Kai, Vice Dean of the College of Foreign Languages, said that the College is willing to actively participate in the work related to international relations in the Institute of Chinese-style Modernization and Development. The College will provide more services in the construction of multilingual websites, multilingual multimedia construction, lecture series or course construction of the University.
Li Hua, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Luan Jianhong, Chief of Exchange Section, Zheng Dong, Chief of World Class University Research and Evaluation Office, Liang Song and Yan Ziyu of International Development Office of College of Foreign Languages attended the symposium.
