On October 26, Mu Xiangwang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, and Xiang Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the College, led a team to visit the Tianjin branch of Golden Education and had an in-depth exchange with Zhang Changqing, General Manager of the company, on the cooperation between the College and enterprises, career education and training, job creation, and internship.
At 9:00 a.m., Mu Xiangwang and the delegation came to the Tianjin branch of Golden Education and visited the main office area to have a preliminary understanding of the overall layout, scale and facilities, and history of the company. Zhang Changqing, the general manager of the company, introduced the cooperation between the two sides, the current development of Golden Education and the direction of future efforts. After that, both sides focused on the next step of establishing career education workshops in the college, developing campus cooperation programs and holding internship camps.
In her speech, Mu Xiangwang said that the visit to the enterprise is a useful attempt to promote the collaborative education between the College and the enterprise. For the College, the starting point of in-depth cooperation with enterprises is not only to provide jobs for students and solve employment problems, but also to cultivate foreign language students’ awareness of self-improvement and the concept of serving the society. We hope that we can continue to explore the strengths and potentials of students beyond their language skills, so that Nankai students of the College of Foreign Languages will be able to shine in all walks of life and make their own contributions to the development of the country and the progress of society after they leave the campus.
It is reported that this visit is one of a series of initiatives of the College of Foreign Languages to enhance “Visiting Enterprises to Promote Employment”, carry out collaborative education between colleges and enterprises, creating jobs and entrepreneurship channels for graduates and promote high-quality employment. The College will continue to implement the activity of “Top Party and Government Leader Come to Enterprises”, discuss the new space of cooperation between the College and enterprises, and escort the internship for students and employment for graduates.
