From November 7 to 17, 2022, the College of Foreign Languages held a series of activities for the “Double Degree Program Promotion Week of Famous British Universities” in collaboration with 4 famous UK universities. The College invited the program managers and contact persons of University of Wales Trinity Saint David, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, University of Bristol and University of Birmingham to make an online presentation and promotion of the double degree exchange programs between the universities and the College. Nearly 30 undergraduates, academic and professional master students from all years of the College attended the series of presentations.

Each university in the UK introduced their campus and the international exchange and cooperation projects with the College, and gave patient and detailed answers to the students’ questions about the teaching format under the influence of the epidemic, quarantine conditions, visa application process, as well as the curriculum, credit and thesis requirements, tuition fees, scholarship applications, campus environment, etc.

In recent years, the College has been strengthening cooperation with foreign universities such as the UK and has signed agreements with several world-renowned institutions for dual-degree exchange programs. Up to now, nearly 15 master students have applied for and successfully obtained the dual degree, and one undergraduate student will leave for the UK after completing the first two years of study in this academic year.

It is the second time that the event was held since last year and it is an important measurement of the College to create opportunities of studying abroad from the aspect of international exchanges and implement the integration of job recruitment, cultivation, and career development. It is also a platform of planning for the academic development, particularly after the epidemic, for the freshman of different levels and graduate students.

Many students have expressed their interest in applying after the presentation week, and the College will provide information and assistance to the students.
