The College of Foreign Languages holds an academic knowledge contest

From 18th to 24th May, the Graduate Student Union of the College of Foreign Languages successfully held the Foreign Literature Academic Knowledge Contest, In response to the call of Nankai University to carry out the “Season of Academic Atmosphere Cultivation” and in order to inspire the College’s students to study hard, lay a solid foundation and show their demeanor. More than 100 postgraduates from the College participated.

This knowledge contest was conducted online, and students from different grades and majors formed teams to compete fiercely. The questions in competition involved literature, history, culture, geography and other aspects of the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, and Russia. This competition not only tested and improved the overall quality of the contestants but also popularized scientific and cultural knowledge to the students to a certain extent. It played an important role in creating a strong atmosphere of learning on campus and in the College.

Students participated in the competition with their enthusiasm and passion, showing the professional quality and academic level of the students from the College. After a week of intense competition, several students stood out. Two students won the first prize. Three students won the second prize. Six students won the third prize. After the competition, the students expressed that they have mastered more professional knowledge and gained a deeper understanding of their major through this competition. At the same time, the students also found that they still have some deficiencies in their knowledge reserves. In the future, they will make full use of their spare time to gain the cultural knowledge related to their majors and effectively improve their profession.

It is reported that this activity fully mobilized the enthusiasm of the students to acquire knowledge and expand their horizons. During the epidemic, this activity enriched the campus cultural life and showed the good spirit of the students from the College of Foreign Languages.
