On May 6th, the business handover meeting of the Teachers’ Congress and the Labor Union Committee of the College of Foreign Languages was held in Conference Room 110 of the College of Foreign Languages. Mu Xiangwang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, and Yan Guodong, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
The meeting notified the Nankai University Teachers’ Congress Labor Union’s approval of the results of the election of the Fifth Trade Union Committee of the Sixth Teachers’ Congress of the College of Foreign Languages. The meeting clarified the division of labor and responsibilities of the labor union members of the new Teachers’ Congress and explained the budget and various activity plans for this year. The trade union members of the previous teachers’ congress shared their work experience, and the business handover of the two committees was successfully completed.
At the meeting, Mu Xiangwang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, and Yan Guodong, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages, delivered speeches respectively, emphasizing the importance of the work of the Labor Union Committee of the Teachers’ Congress. They demanded that the committee, under the leadership of the College Party Committee, should uphold the fine traditions of the college and continue to contribute to the development of the college and its staff. While maintaining integrity, the committee should also take into account innovation, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of faculty and staff of all ages in the college and carry out activities that have a distinctive style of the college and can meet the demands of faculty and staff.
The business handover meeting was presided over by Wang Kai, chairman of the Labor Union of the Teachers’ Congress. Zhao Guoqiang, vice chairman of the last Labor Union of the Teachers’ Congress, Chen Lihong, vice-chairman, member Ma Hongqi, member Li Yunming, and members of the new trade union committee of the Teachers’ Congress attended the meeting.
