On June 2, the 2021 Tianjin University Funding Propaganda Ambassadors Selection Finals hosted by the Educational Working Committee of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and the Tianjin Education Commission was successfully held at Tianjin University of Technology. The representative of our school, the College of Foreign Languages 2018 Italian undergraduate student Kong Xuening, stood out from the contestants from 50 colleges and universities in Tianjin and was awarded the “Tianjin University Funding Propaganda Ambassadors” in 2021.
The purpose of this competition is to further publicize the party and the state’s university funding policy, to educate and guide the majority of students to understand the hard-won victory of the party leading the people in the fight against poverty, and to present the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party with practical actions. Since the start of the activity, our school has actively organized selection work. After student application, college recommendation, and school-level selection, we decided to recommend Kong Xuening to participate in the competition on behalf of our school.
The competition is divided into two stages: the preliminary and the final. It mainly examines the students’ mastery of the party and state funding policies and their understanding of the education work of universities and colleges. Ten contestants (teams) were finally selected to win the title of “Tianjin University Funding Propaganda Ambassadors”. The representative of our school, Kong Xuening, combined her own experience from three dimensions -- “new student service to NKU”, “ideological and political dreams bred by work-study”, “poverty alleviation shaping party members”. Three dimensions show how the state’s funding policy is implemented in Nankai’s delicate humanistic care. The title of “Party and State Educational Poverty Alleviation and Educational Funding Achievements”, explains how the party and state’s funding policies realize material assistance, moral infiltration, ability development, spiritual motivation. She finally won fifth place.
Over the years, our school has always adhered to the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue, implementing various funding policies of the party and the state, innovating and promoting the continuous improvement of funding and education, and giving full play to the role of funding. This selection activity was to test and publicize the effectiveness of our school’s funding for education. Our school will use this as an opportunity to continue to play the leading role of the Funding Propaganda Ambassadors to guide the majority of students to listen to the party, appreciate the party, and follow the party, contributing to the founding of the party for a hundred years with practical actions.
