From June 7th to 11th, the College of Foreign Languages and 6 well-known foreign universities organized the one-week promotion activity for Postgraduate Dual Degree Program. In response to the current issues that students are more concerned about, each university has made a full introduction to the teaching methods, quarantine conditions, handling procedures of visa under the influence of the epidemic, as well as curriculum settings, credit and thesis requirements, tuition standards, scholarship applications, campus environment, etc. In addition to the basic information, the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom and the University of Kanazawa in Japan also invited students and previous exchange students to share the application process and experience of studying and living abroad.
This activity is organized before the graduation season and the beginning term of freshmen, in order to provide graduates and freshmen with a platform for further studies and planning for future academic development. In recent years, the college has actively strengthened cooperation with foreign universities and signed the agreement on postgraduate dual degree exchange project with several well-known universities. Up to now, nearly 10 postgraduates have applied for and obtained the qualifications of the project. Among them, 5 have successfully obtained a dual degree. Furthermore, the thesis of Cui Xueting, a postgraduate majoring in Japanese Language and Literature(exchanged to Kanazawa University, Japan), was also ranked as the excellent thesis of the two universities at the same time.
After this activity, a number of students have intention to apply for the project. Our college will follow up the progress and provide students with information consultation and other related assistance.
