The good news has come. To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Jinping’s important speech at the National Model Worker and Advanced Workers Commendation Conference, to vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, labor, and craftsman, to explore and publicize the extraordinary performance of outstanding workers in ordinary positions, and to show the majestic power of a new journey of struggle and a new era of contribution, the Tianjin Education Union launched an online demonstration and voting activity of “Promoting the Three Spirits and Gathering the Strength of Struggle”. Our school union recommended the translation volunteer commando team against the epidemic from the College of Foreign Languages and won the honorary title of Tianjin “Most Beautiful Faculty Team”.
Our school union attached great importance to this event, strictly observed the political view and quality of the entries, and instructed the faculty union of the College of Foreign Languages to shoot and record the vividly expressive and appealing participation videos. The video shows after Tianjin became the designated entry point for international passenger flights and the import trend became more and more severe, the translation volunteer commando team against the epidemic from the College of Foreign Languages was not afraid of difficulties and dangers. They dedicated themselves to the front line of the anti-epidemic, wearing protective clothing, guarding the country, completing a series of work such as entry inspections, inquiries and verification, epidemiological investigations, and communication and coordination of centralized quarantine on entry. The video was publicly displayed and voted throughout the city, showing the whole society the sincere feelings of NKU to integrate the individual into the greater, continue to struggle, and serve the country.
In the voting session, with the collaboration of the Youth League Committee, the Alumni Office, and other fraternal departments, the teachers, students, and alumni from NKU worked together and won the first place of “Most Beautiful Faculty Team”. Yan Guodong, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages, said that at the critical moment of the epidemic, the College of Foreign Languages had demonstrated a lofty mission and fearless responsibility. What they embodied is the spirit of NKU and the pursuit of the College of Foreign Languages. The teachers and students will take this award as an opportunity to further gather their strength, stimulate the enthusiasm of teachers and students of the college, cultivate a culture of craftsmanship, and practice their original intention and mission with practical actions.
