A few days ago, the list of the first batch of new liberal arts research and reform practice projects in Tianjin has been announced. After the school’s application, expert review, and publicity, the Municipal Education Commission identified 59 projects as the first batch of new liberal arts research and reform practice projects in Tianjin.
Among them, the “foreign language majors and humanities and social sciences, a compound internationalized new liberal arts talent training mechanism” with Professor Yan Guodong as the leader was successfully selected.
It is reported that based on the goals and tasks of the new liberal arts construction, the new liberal arts research and reform practice project set up 6 topic fields and 22 topic-selecting directions, including a new liberal arts construction development concept, professional optimization, talent training model reform, classification promotion of key fields, teacher team construction, characteristic quality culture construction research and practice. The construction period of the project is generally 3 years. The Municipal Education Commission will also select the best from the municipal-level new liberal arts research and reform practice projects and recommend them to participate in the new liberal arts research and reform practice projects of the Ministry of Education.
