In order to actively give back to his alma mater Nankai, help the growth of talented students of the College of Foreign Languages, improve the level of international talent training, and encourage students to expand their international horizons and become talents, the alumni of the College of Foreign Languages of Nankai University of 1984 (including the 88th postgraduate) are jointly initiated the establishment of the “Qunli International Talent Cultivation Scholarship” to express their gratitude for the education and cultivation of the alma mater and the college when they returned to school on the 30th anniversary of graduation. At present, the start-up fund of the bursary has reached more than 150,000 yuan.

The “Qunli International Talent Cultivation Scholarship” is mainly used to subsidize the full-time general undergraduate students of the College of Foreign Languages to participate in the international exchange period. All students with financial difficulties but strong willingness to learn, innovative spirit, international vision and spirit of cooperation can apply. The specific amount and quota will be determined by the college according to actual needs.

The “Qunli International Talent Cultivation Scholarship” is highly compatible with the college’s talent training goals. It has received strong support from many alumni at home and abroad, and will surely promote and accelerate the pace of “double first-class” discipline construction in the College of Foreign Languages. In order to repay the kindness of the alma mater for cultivation, Class 1983 alumni set up the “Qing Miao” scholarship in the College of Foreign Languages of Nankai University of Foreign Languages to subsidize students with financial difficulties. At the donation ceremony, Ms. Yang Lu, alumni representative, handed in a donation check of RMB 12,4950 to the college.
