Huang He, Party branch secretary of the Department of Postgraduate College English of College of Foreign Languages in Northwestern Polytechnical University, and a group of five people visited our college on October 23th. Li Xia, deputy dean and director of the Department of College English, Li Yunming, Party branch secretary of the Department of College English, Jian Yue, deputy director of the Teaching Department, and Xiao Yun, director of the Postgraduate Teaching and Research Office, attended the meeting.
Li Xia mainly introduced the three levels, three modules and diversified course types of English curriculum system of the Department of College English, and shared the experience and fruits concerning the cultivation of the language ability of international talents, effective teaching (NKET), online course construction, etc.
Xiao Yun introduced the curriculum of postgraduate college English and the construction of special English courses for the postgraduate class of the Nankai-Glasgow Joint Educational Program.
Both sides also had in-depth exchange of views on the construction of teaching team, teachers’ development, and blended learning. They expressed the willingness to continue learning from each other and make common progress in the future.
