Japanese Major NKUers Achieved First Prize from the News Group of the 1st National Japanese Dubbing Contest

On Nov.16, 2019, the 1st National Japanese Dubbing Contest was held in Hefei, Anhui Province, jointly run by the Japanese Committee of College Foreign Language and Literature Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education of China, China Japanese Education Association, and Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Students in Japanese major from over 90 universities attended the preliminary round, and 532 dubbing pieces were received, among which 13 from the news group and 17 from the movie and TV drama group stood out according to the judgement from the organizer. The promoted contestants got the clippings three days before the final round and they should pick one of them to do the dubbing live on the final.

After fierce competition, Xu Jiawei, 2018 MTI student from Japanese Department of CFL of NKU won the first prize from the news group. Zheng Lin, teacher from Japanese Department guided and accompanied with her throughout the entire journey.

The contest is a magnificent ceremony for Japanese major talents, which aims at meeting the requirement of Japanese major in the new era, exploring the cultivation model of multi-layered foreign language talent, enhancing the comprehensive quality and stimulating interest of Japanese major students and facilitating the implementation of Japanese.
