On the afternoon of October 19th, the 30th anniversary for the undergraduates 1985 and the graduates 1986 was held in the CFL. The participants were former teachers of the Department of English, including Chang Yaoxin, Liu Shicong, Jiang Huashang, Cui Yonglu, Gu Qinan, Wang Yunru, Ke Wenli, Chi Qinghua, Li Jiuming, teachers of the Department of Japanese, including Zhang Xiuhua, Liu Guimin, Hua Benzhong, and former foreign teachers, including Fischer and alumni at home and abroad. Zou Yujie, Party secretary of the college, attended the meeting, and Ma Hongqi, Vice President of the college, presided over the meeting.
Zou Yujie, on behalf of all the teachers and students of the college, delivered a warm speech to welcome them back to their alma mater. Zou Yujie gave a comprehensive introduction to the discipline development, academic research, education, internationalization, and student affairs. Meawhile, she expressed her sincere gratitude to the alumni for their contribution to the development of the college. On the occasion, Zou Yujie also expressed good wishes and heartfelt greetings to Nankai foreign language alumni at home and abroad.
Old teacher representatives, such as Chang Yaoxin, Liu Guimin and English major alumnus Xie Zheqiang and Japanese major alumnus Yue Zhongke delivered successively their speeches to share their stories happening between themselves and their then students, teachers and the school. Souvenirs for centennial celebration were presented by all alumni present to express their gratitude to the teachers.
