Throughout Oct. 18th-21st, 2019, the 2019 National College German Teaching and Testing Work Meeting was hold at the Lanzhou University. Sponsored by the German Group of College Foreign Language Teaching in Higher Education Steering Committee and organized by Lanzhou University, the meeting received 60 representatives from 48 colleges and universities, Goethe Institute China, 5 publishing houses.
Pro Zhao Jing, leader of the German Group of College Foreign Language Teaching in Higher Education Steering Committee, delivered a speech and announced the new members of the German Group for the Committee at the opening ceremony. Based on “Creating High-Standard German Courses for High Quality of Teaching”, Pro. Zhao Jing delivered a keynote speech on Teaching of College German: Present Situation, Challenges and Prospects according to the Investigation of 2019 National College German Teaching.
In the meeting, representatives of all universities provided their solutions to some problems and challenges faced in the college German teaching in group discussion, and the application and development of digital teaching resources in the German classes. Besides, the meeting minutes were approved and reviewed and the plan for next step was launched.
Liu Guanlong, director of the Department of German in the CFL, attended the meeting and gave a minute introduction to the development of the German teaching of the CFL in the NKU. Afterwards, he expanded discussion on broad topics with sibling Academies.
