In order to ensure the undergraduate enrollment of 2019 of CFL is carried out efficiently and orderly, the college has taken series of measures to firmly guarantee the quality and improvement of enrollment from the following three different aspects:
First: Enabling the staff members from undergraduate recruit team and enhancing their awareness of teamwork
The leader group for undergraduate enrollment and the small team in charge of introductory session of each department have been founded by CFL, to ensure the recruit process is full of clarity, discipline and characteristics. In the leader group, the deputy dean responsible for the teaching of undergraduate is the supervisor and the team members compromise the heads from each department and each office. Meanwhile, foreign teachers will support the work in each small team. Several trainings and discussions have been implemented to make sure all the information is complete and prominent, covering examining the history and features of NKU and CFL, coordinating the highlights and policies of recruit introduction and polishing the digital and printed materials of recruit introduction through plenty of brainstorms and revisions. Moreover, the staffs for recruit introduction are well trained in accordance with different policies they need to introduce like the enrollment of recommended students and the enrollment of the students who make application of college entrance examination in advance.
Second: Holding the Open Day for the campus visit and the college visit so as to provide a stage for better understanding
CFL has made full use of the Open Day of NKU to present the charm of foreign study discipline, enabling the students to achieve a better understanding for the history and the strength of disciplinary construction in CFL. The dean of CFL, Yan Guodong, and deputy deans Jiao Yanting and Wang Kai attended the Open Day, giving careful introduction and explanation about relevant disciplines. The staffs for recruit introduction as the heads from each department, faculty and foreign teachers, the head of Teaching and Scientific Research Office in CFL, tutors from Youth League Committee of CFL and excellent student representatives, offered detailed and overall offline explanation during the whole day. At the same time, the Open Day of the CFL embraced the students and their parents to have a further acknowledgment for CFL. Several queues composed by students and parents took visit to CFL, organized by the deputy dean Wang Kai. They made a comprehensive tour of the college, the classroom for simultaneous interpretation and the classroom equipped with advanced scientific technology, garnering more information about the development and strength of CFL.
Third: Fully preparing for the outing of recruit introduction and ensuring the improvement of recommended students’ enrollment both in quantity and quality
Recommended students are the significant sources for the enrollment in CFL. The college has investigated the recommended students in NKU in terms of their score, involvement and award in professional competition, double major and employment, making comprehensive analysis on the enrollment of last year and taking the requirement of recruit policy of this year into consideration. By doing so, an outline of recruit introduction is made and a relevant group is set up, which is sent to those high schools qualified with recommendation all over the country, to deliver recruit introduction. The group contains the heads, professional teachers, faulty in charge of educational stuff, student leaders and outstanding recommended students in CFL, for sure that recruit introduction is abundant and inspirational. This year, the number of recommended students’ application soars.
