Throughout April 26 to April 28, the third “Sen Teng Cup”--the Russian Competition among Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Universities was held in the Hebei Normal University. Under the guidance of mentor Zhao Chunmei, YangJun, Song Lijia, Liu xueqing, Zhangyang Chenyou in behalf of the CFL participated in the competition and yielded goog results.
The competition consisted of four parts: written exam, speech, picture description and spontaneous translation. The judges grades them based on the professional knowledge, their mastery of Russian history and literature, language competence and translation ability between Chinese and Russian. At last, the four constants all yielded good results. While in the senior group, Yang Jun and Liu Xunqing respectively got the first prize and the third prize of the competition, Zhangyang Chenyou and Song Yijia, in the junior group, gained the third prize of the competition and the first prize of the speech.
In the preparation of the competition, Wang Lidan (dean of the Department of Russian), mentor Zhao Chunmei and foreign teacher Ирина Сергеевна provided targeted guidance to them. After the competition, Yang Yun expressed her gratitude and owned her success to her teachers’ patience and instruction. She believed that learning a language cost a lot of time and perseverance in daily life. Only through constant listening and observation, can one find out his own way to learn a language efficiently.
It was reported that this competition represented a good opportunity for students from different schools to show themselves and a platform for the exchanges and communication among students and teachers.It was of great significance to inspire the students’ enthusiasm of learning Russian, promoting the Russian education in China and integration of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
