In recent days, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of “The May 4th Movement”and the NKU, a lecture named “ Hearts of youth to the Party, A New Era to be Established” and the show contest among different classes to welcome “ The 100th Anniversary of the NKU and the CFL” was held in the lecture hall. The participants were Xiang Yu, deputy party secretary and vice president of the CFL, students leaders, the Youth League cadres and undergraduates of 2018.

Of course, the foreign language talents of the NKU contributed a lot to the movement. To show the course of the 100 years’ history of the CFL, 6 United League Branch introduced the six aspects “Setting sail”, “Nirvana”, “Grand”, “Reform and Opening-up”, “New century” and “New era”. Liu Shu, an undergraduate of 2018, said, “I explored the long history and profound richness, which strengthen the resolution to learn foreign languages hard.”
A school anthem: sing of the spirit of the NKU with 10 languages. In the end, teachers and students all stood up to sing the school song in 10 different languages “The costal city and Baihe of Tianjin, the lofty Nankai progressed with each day. Xiang Yu, deputy party secretary, stated that at the time when the 100th anniversary of the NKU, May 4th Movement and the CFL, to held this theme educational activity represented as a solemn ceremony to teach students to spread the spirit of the May 4th Movement and strengthen the faith and ideal. Remaining committed to the principle of cultivating the talents –‘put their strength of foreign language into full play, focus on humanity, develop the international view, commit to the nation and stick to Nankai characteristics’. This will help the students to be ambitious, ready to shoulder responsibility.”
