Such subjects as the representations and practices of the mobility should be studied. Afterwards, the breakthroughs in the study of mobility was stated. As an interdisciplinary study combining literature, transport and geography, urban studies and tourism studies, the study of mobility emphasized the correlation between the politics and scale of the mobility. Taking the American literature from the 1850s to 1940s as the research subject, the research clarify how the American literature represented the mobility, which made contribution to the dynamic relations--between the local and the global, between the nationalism and the internationalism, among geographical, social and cultural mobility.

In the end, students and teachers at the spot shared their views and gains of the study. After all, the activity gave students a glimpse of what is the mobility and hoe to do such a research topic, arousing the academic interest of the students.
