“Look! The sweat and toil of the predecessors changed into a puff of smoke; The smiles of the late heroes cracked in the hit of large birds. Look! Once a glorious history of over 4000 years darkened; the iron heels fire the flame of the enemies all the more.”The song Grief over National Crises slowly drifted from afar. The students and teachers came to the Park of Mudan to pat tribute to Mudan and other predecessors.
“Mu Dan is a renowned patriotic poet and a translator in modern China. As his poems concerned for the nation and the people, opening up a new way for the modern Chinese poetry, he was crowned as the pioneer of the Chinese New Poetry....”Yan Zhizhang, head of the lectures of the Party Branch, gave a brief introduction to Mu Dan’life , experiences, remarkable achievements and historical contribution. The postgraduate representatives of the Party members read some poems like Spring and Glorification and some translated works in front of the statue of Mu Dan. Afterwards, respectfully, the faculty and students of the CFL stood with head bowed and laid flowers in an orderly way to pay tribute to the scholars of the past.
“Mu Dan had remarked that a flame with a beam of flight like fireflies would lighten up the dark night without waiting to fire the torch. Moved, the lines confirmed my determination to work hard and to make contribution to the nation.”a postgraduate Party member 2018 of the CFL Chen Hang said.
Just at the quiet and lush school, it was time to pay tribute to Mu Dan and other predecessors. It is said that the CFL will explore the remarkable achievements of the scholars of the past, pass the valuable cultural legacy to next generations and guide them to forge ahead.
