Lai Zhennan, President of the CFL in the Fu Jen Catholic University, Paid a Visit to the NKU

On April 1st, Lai Zhennan, president of the CFL in the Fu Jen Catholic University, paid a visit to the CFL of the NKU and delivered a lecture on “Made to Stick and International Medical Translation”. Wang Kai, vice president of the college, hosted the lecture and students from different grades attended it.

Lai Zhennan, first explained the concept of “Made to Stick”, highlighted the significance of creativity in modern society and mainly depicted the current development of the international medical translation which was the key research project of the CFL in the Fu Jen Catholic University. Afterwards, he described his own experience and declared that against the backdrop of the medical globalization, more translators specializing in the medical industry were needed. Therefore, insisting in the society-oriented guiding principle, he planned to be the first to launch international medical projects by taking advantage of the tradition of the medicine science and translation studies and drawing lessons from the experience of America, Europe, Japan and Korea.

Lai Zhennan spurred the curiosity of students by means of combining theory into practice - magic.

This time, more than 40 teachers and students from the Fu Jen Catholic University, Tamkang University and the National Chengchi University paid a visit to the CFL and conducted the camp activities themed with foreign languages teaching.
