On March 24th, the third Research Seminar for students of China and Japan sponsored by Japan Kanazawa University was held in the College of Foreign Language of Tongji University in Shanghai. The seminar was hosted by associate professor Lingmu Xiaoshi from the Graduate School of Human and Social Environmental Studies. The participants were Wang Xinxin, Collaborative Professor of Kanazawa University and professor of the CFL in Nankai University and Wang Kai, Vice President of the CFL.
The subject of the seminar was “Multidimensional Perspectives in Linguistic, Cultural and Historical Studies”. Academic reports were delivered on topic ranging from literature, linguistics, history to economics by altogether 18 doctoral and master graduate students from different universities, including Kanazawa University, Nankai University, Beijing Normal University, Tongji University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, East China Normal University and Shanghai International Studies University. Cui Xueting, a postgraduate 2017 of the Japanese Department delivered a speech “井上ひさし『頭痛肩こり樋口一葉』からみる幽霊の登場-評伝劇を視座に-”in the seminar. Through the heated discussion, postgraduates of the two countries argued their topics in rounds of questions and answers.
Nankai University has remained to be in a close cooperation relations with Kanazawa University. On October, 2017, when Master Dual Degree Program was established between Nankai University and Kanazawa University, more exchanges were made between the two schools on humanities, international studies, history and Japanese pedagogy and there were more cooperation in teaching and scientific research between teachers. Until now, more than ten exchange students had arrived Kanazawa University and the first seminar between Kanazawa University and NKU was hold in 2018.
