On March 21st, our college held the first teaching workshop for the undergraduates with the characteristics of language teaching taken into consideration and the promotion of language teaching productivity centered. This initiative is to fully fully implement the spirits of the National Conference on Undergraduate Education in Colleges and Universities in the New Era, to put the 40 Rules of NKU into practice and to meet the requirements in the Action Plan of Education Informationization 2.0, in which it suggests that the establishment of intelligent learning systems of the next generation network in universities be accelerated, a new mode of talent training under the Internet accelerated speed be constructed, a new pattern of education service based on the Internet be developed.
Our workshop invited some technicians from Beijing New Oriental Xuncheng Network Technology Co., Ltd. to share something about their technology platforms, operating principles, background computing, data support, etc. with the theme of “Basic Infrastructure and Technology Platforms for Online Course Construction”. Our teachers present at the meeting were quite interested in this area, taking the characteristics of language teaching into account, they enthusiastically discussed and exchanged views with the technicians about the application of those constructed infrastructures as well as the resource-sharing cooperation.
This workshop was hosted by our vice president Wangkai and many teachers from different departments participated in it. They shared common prospects of the mixed online and offline curriculum group. The meeting whose atmosphere was warm and harmonious was well accepted by all.
