Recently, Associate Professor of Literature at the University of Lleida, Spain, Director of the Scriptura Publishing Group, Editor-in-Chief of the Lleida University Literature Research Year, Julián Acebrón Ruiz, visited the College of Foreign Languages at Nankai University. Teacher Gong Yunjie, a Spanish teacher, received Professor Ruiz. She said that Professor Ruiz visited the College of Foreign Languages and established a good cooperative relationship with Nankai University.
Professor Ruiz brought a lecture entitled “Dream in Spanish Literature” to Spanish teachers and students. All teachers and students of the Spanish major participated in the event.
Professor Ruiz talked about the problem of literary teaching in his lectures, emphasizing the importance on interests in studying literary. He believes that reading literature is a journey. In the process of reading in the classroom, teachers and students can openly communicate on the intertextual relationship of literature, read poetry aloud, and even sing, making the literature classroom full of charm.
Professor Ruiz analyzed the dream is a sign of real life, revelation, illusion, cognition, inspiration, and how to relate it with literature. Traditionally, people passively get the revelation of dreams and generate motivation for creation. With the development of literature, the author actively searches for the inspiration resources in the subconscious provided by dreams. Combining the dreams in the famous works of Western literary works, Professor Ruiz's analyzed that dreams is the source of writing, the means of dissolving rational reality, the cloak of metaphor and the object of writing.
