College of Foreign Languages Launches Series Activity on Fire Safety

Since the school launched the “Fire Safety Month” activities, College of Foreign Languages has held a series of activities such as fire safety promotion, inspection and drills, which enabled the teachers and students of the whole college to pay more attention to fire protection, participate in fire protection, and raise awareness of safety and prevention.

The college established a sound fire safety and fire prevention system, and issued the Initial Response Method in the Early Stage of Fire, Self-rescue and Escape in Fire, Escape Method for Fire in High-rise Buildings, Professional Brochure on Fire Protection Knowledge in College of Foreign Languages , and  Wrong behavior in Fire Escape and fire hydrant use illustrations and fire extinguisher use icons to enhance fire and escape skills. The fire work desk account was re-examined, and the dean and the heads of various departments signed the Fire Extinguish Safety Responsibility Letter of the College of Foreign Languages” and adjusted the college fire safety leading group. Through the online and offline methods such as e-mail, WeChat group and LED screen, the fire protection knowledge will be publicized to the teachers and students in the whole college, the revised College Fire Safety Work System and Fire Safety Work Operation Regulations and case video on fore extinguish were issued.

From November 1st to December 1st, the College Fire Protection Leading Group inspected the firefighting work of all classrooms, offices and key parts of the language lab and book data center of the teaching building, focusing on inspections of fire prevention facilities, safety facilities, fire protection signs and evacuation routes.

On November 30th, the college organized teachers and students and property management personnel to hold fire drills to explain the fire escape evacuation site and conduct fire extinguishers in the field. Associate Dean Jiao Yanting and teachers and students from various departments and offices attended.
