Recently, Professor Su Hui, professor of Central China Normal University, doctoral tutor, and the editor-in-chief of Foreign Literature Studies, gave a lecture entitled Ethical Literary Criticism: Theoretical Innovation, Critical Practice and Construction of International Academic Discourse Power. The lecture was presided over by Professor Wang Lidan from the College of Foreign Languages of Nankai University and reviewed by Professor Liu Ying. Nearly 100 teachers and students from the college attended the lecture.
Su Hui's criticism gave a comprehensive explanation of “ethical literary criticism” created by the Chinese scholar Professor Nie Zhenzhao from four perspectives including ethical literary criticism: theoretical self-confidence and the innovation of critical discourse, international academic influence of ethical literary criticism, ethical literary criticism and the construction of international academic discourse power, and the practices of ethical literary criticism. Su Hui introduced the influence of the theory of “Chinese style” in the international academic community from the evaluation of international top academic journals, international peer review, and international academic publishing. Su Hui believed that this Chinese characteristic theory had mastered the right to speak in international academic organizations and issued a mainstream voice at international academic conferences from the craze of ethical literary criticism research initiated by the international academic community.
It is reported that this lecture was organized by the Graduate Department of the University Party Committee for the 2018009 “Go into the Chinnese Famous Journal” activity.
