“The deeds of the Premier Minister are familiar to us. But the expression in English is not easy, because the more profound the emotion is, the more we must choose words repeatedly. To be faithful, expressive and elegant, we need professional accumulation and an in-depth understanding of the spirit of the premier. In order to deeply cherish the memory of the noble character of the older generation of revolutionaries and lead the teachers and students to inherit the spirit of Zhou Enlai, on the evening of March 10, the College of Foreign Languages English Corner took the theme of Jellyfish Is Still the Same - to commemorate Prime Minister Zhou, in Room 413. The activity attracted students from Nankai University and Tianjin University.
This activity was divided into three parts: overview, documentary film and talking freely. Starting from the bonds between premier Zhou and Nankai University, the three film clips lead students to understand , then to interact with each other and express their views. Students expressed their feelings from the Tibet 318 national road condition greatly improving to hometown’s new look. The country's development, people becoming rich and happy, cannot leave the premier Zhou and other hard struggle of the older generation of revolutionaries.
Happy Live English Corner is a brand activity of the College of Foreign Languages, with a form of 20-person salon, and it is open to all students in the university. The theme of the salon is updated every week, which focuses on the current political, social and campus hotspots, and attracts students from various universities in Tianjin, including foreign language editors and international students.
