Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference the First Meeting of 14th Committee of Tianjin was held in Tianjin Great Hall.
The main task of this conference is to follow the guidance of Xi Jinping's socialism with Chinese characteristics thoughts in the new era and thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and conscientiously implement the plan for the 11th Party Congress and the 11th Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee. Under the leadership of the municipal party committee, in accordance with the important three focuses requirements put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping for Tianjin's development, they should enhance their four awareness, raise their political standing and adhere to the two major themes of unity and democracy. They should unite and mobilize all CPPCC members and all kinds of party groups attending CPPCC and people from all walks of life to focus on the overall situation of reform and development in the city and conscientiously fulfill the functions of political consultation, democratic supervision and participation in politics and deliberation, give full play to the CPPCC's role as an important channel for consultative democracy in socialism and a special consultative body. They will work hard to help Tianjin CPPCC develop into a new chapter, to speed up the building of five modern Tianjin and make new contributions to high-quality development.
The 14th CPPCC National Committee of Tianjin consists of representatives from the Chinese Communist Party, democratic parties, non-party members, chambers of commerce and other relevant people's organizations, ethnic minorities and representatives from all walks of life, compatriots from Taiwan, compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao, returned overseas Chinese and special invitees. A total of 32 sectors are set up with a total of 695 members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), including 22 members of the CPPCC National Committee and Professor Wang Lidan, director of the Russian Department of our college, attended as the representatives of ethnic minorities.
The meeting opened grandly in the morning, and members from Nankai University said that the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has opened a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Tianjin will stand on a new historical starting point with full enthusiasm and high responsibility. In this congress, we should give full play to our own strengths and offer advice and suggestions to contribute to the promotion of Tianjin's high-quality development.
