On November 23, invited by the Study Center of Foreign Literature of CFL, Professor Qiao Guoqiang who is a Changjiang Scholar and a postgraduate tutor in SISU, paid a visit to CFL of NKU and gave a lecture named “Narration in Literature History” to its teachers and students. The teachers and students from English Department and Translation Department participated in the lecture.
Professor Qiao firstly pointed out the existing problems in the study and compiling of the literature history, then he gave an excellent explanation from the objects, time and space and ethics of the narration in literature history. At the end of the lecture, Professor Qiao interacted with and had a warm discussion with with the teachers and students from CFL about how to critically read literature history, what are the theme and discourse time of narration and how to treat the aesthetic orientation and value orientation of the narration in literature history.
The lecture Professor Qiao gave revealed the constitution parts of literature history and their relations and would enlighten the understanding of the constructivism and construction.
