Last Friday afternoon (December 1st), the annual Dual Select Will took place at Bo Ling Building in NKU.
Forty companies came to the conference and over a hundred students participated.
The conference began at 2:30, but the volunteers arrived at 12:30 to arrange the conference hall. In the meantime, another team of volunteers was at the foreign language building getting ready for the welcome ceremony of the company representatives. This year, for making all the representatives feel at home, every two companies was arranged with a volunteer.
Then the conference began. First it was the introduction section in which representatives showed videos about their company and afterwards had a short interview for the graduates. During this process there was a direct broadcast.
Afterwards, the selection began. The companies put up the display racks and some even prepared small gifts for the applicants. The students shuttled back and forth among the exhibition booths.
Besides the companies, there were also CV counselor, policy counselor, career counselor and professional interpreter. The CV counselor was the most popular with the students. Not only graduates but also some freshmen went to seek advice from him. And because there were so many people, some students even suggested that we invite the counselor to give us a special lecture on CV.
The conference lasted about 2 hours. Not only the applicants and companies but also the volunteers gained a lot from this Dual Selection Will. Let us look forward to the next year’s conference!
