Recently, the School of Foreign Languages has signed agreements for student exchange with the institute of liberal arts at Srinakharinwirot University in Thailand (http://linguistics.hu.swu.ac.th/) on the program of English, Japanese, French and other disciplines. Srinakharinwirot University is a famous National University in Bangkok of Thailand. It was founded in 1949 and has a history of half a century. The English Department of the Institute of Liberal Arts offers master's programs in English, with professors mainly from the UK and the US.
Universities in Thailand have three semesters traditionally: the first semester is from August to December, and the second semester lasts from January to May, and the summer semester is from May to August. The cost of living in Thailand is low, and there are many foreigners, providing good environment for the learning of English. At present, the number of students who are exempt from tuition exchange is 5. The coordinator on the side of Thailand is Dr. Attasith Boonsawasd, e-mail: attasith@g.swu.ac.th. The project is one of the 29 international education projects on the college level. In the academic year of 2016-2017, driven by the college and college level projects, the college sent a total of 100 students, including undergraduate students of 80 people, 20 graduate students, accounting for 13% of the total number of students in the college.
