From its founding in 2014, with support from the International Exchanges Department of Nankai University, the Spanish Specialty has made significant progress. The number of foreign experts in this specialty increased from 1 in 2014 to 2 now, which will grow to 3 in the latter half of 2016. In the summer semester, foreign experts like former Spanish ambassador to China were invited to give lectures to the students of Nankai University.So far, the specialty has signed agreements with several foreign universities on exchanges of students. Five students will study in Spain, Columbia, and Mexico, accounting for a quarter of the total number of Spanish majors in the grade.
