Challenged by the remarkable improvement of college students’ English proficiency, the General English Department worked out a scheme to reform college English teaching in April 2016, which will be put in operation in September for freshmen.
With the objective of cultivating students with global perspectives, the scheme emphasizes the interaction between teachers and students while highlighting the students’ role in education, so that they can solve practical problems through the learning process.
