Recently, the three-month 2nd National Spanish Writing Contest ended completely. Two students, guided by a young teacher Dr. Xiaoyin from the Department of Spanish of the CFL, won the prize for excellence. They would also be supported by Santander Central Hispano S.A. this summer to study and exchange in Spain.
There were overall 100,000 contestants through internet media and social network platform, and the competition review committee had got about 240 submitted entries from 49 universities. The Department of Spanish of the CFL encouraged the students to participate the contest and provided professional guidance. Nie Qi and Zhang Lan, two students of 2014, won the prize for excellence from more than 200 contestants.
The National Spanish Writing Contests was co-organized by the Spanish Embassy in China and Fundación Comillas. It was financed by Santander Central Hispano S.A. The purpose of the contest is to promote cultural cooperation and exchange by enhancing the writing ability and comprehensive language competence. It is the best national contest so far for the undergraduate students in China.
