On April 29, the CFL held a meeting on China Discipline Ranking (CDR), which was chaired by the Dean Professor Yan Guodong.
The Party Committee Secretary Zhang Yahui, the Vice Dean Liu Yuzhen, the Deputy Party Secretary Li Na, and the directors and some teachers of related departments also attended the meeting.
Professor Yan Guodong explained and requested the time limit on the preparation of CDR application forms.
Zhang Yahui emphasized that the application was time-limited and needed a lot of preparation, so every department must attach importance to and do their best to complete the task in an efficient way.
In terms of “Catalogue of Degree Conferral and Talents Cultivation” issued by Ministry of Education and the Academy Degrees Committee of the State Council, the comprehensive evaluation of CDR is conducted by Ministry of Education and Talents Cultivation Graduate Education Development Center on the first-level disciplines of those institutes which have postgraduate programs and degree conferral rights. Based on the evaluation results, cluster ranking will be conducted finally.
The first national CDR was conducted in 2002 and three rounds of assessment have been completed up to now. As the fourth round, the CDR will be finished at the end of 2016 and the results will be released through multichannel and in multi ways.
