On April 23, the Release Ceremony and Summit on Blue Book of Language Service for Chinese Enterprise Globalization was held in the University of International Business and Economics. There were about 400 attendees who came from related government authorities, language service enterprise, universities at home and abroad, and enterprises with demand. Professor Wang Lifei, who was in charge of the Blue Book, attended the ceremony.
The topic of the forum was “Requirements and Quality Standards of Chinese Enterprise Globalization”.
Professor Wang Chuanying, the vice director of MIT Education Center and PhD supervisor, was invited to attend the summit and gave a speech on “The Development of Language Service from the Perspective of Economics”.
On the basis of the detailed analysis of the motive power of global language service, Professor Wang Chuanying summarized current situation of language service. In terms of Diamond Model theory, Professor Wang summed up the advantage and disadvantage of language service development and proposed some feasible suggestions. Professor Wang is the first researcher who analyzes the concentration degree of language service in terms of HHI, the method of which was accepted by the Blue Book of Language Service for Chinese Enterprise Globalization.
The Blue Book of Language Service for Chinese Enterprise Globalization was the initial result of the key research topic on Chinese Enterprise Globalization Collaborative Innovation Center of the University of International Business and Economics. The Blue Book, based on the analysis of the questionnaire and interview survey of about 213 domestic enterprises, describes the overall demand and supply of language service of Chinese enterprise globalization, sums up its way of implementation, characteristics and main problems, and puts forward some corresponding policy recommendations. It is the first most widespread and authoritative survey in China on the demand of language service for the Chinese enterprise globalization.
As one of the member of the Advisory Board of the Blue Book, Professor Wang raised some positive suggestions on the overall contents, research method, and its modification and perfection.
