On April 18, 2016, the first meeting was held for the directors of all the research centers of the College of Foreign Languages. Members of the College Administration Committee, directors and secretaries of the research centers were present at the meeting.
At the meeting, the “Provisional Rules For Research Centers of the College of Foreign Languages of Nankai University” was discussed and adopted, clarifying the nature, principle, name, organization structure, activities, expense, administration and assessment of the research centers. Established as cross-discipline platforms, the seven research centers will serve as organizers and participators of scientific research and academic activities of the College of Foreign Languages.
The seven research centers include: Research Center for International Dissemination of Chinese Culture, Foreign Literature Research Center, East Asian Culture Research Center, Research Center for Foreign Language Education and Teachers' Development, Cross-Culture and Cross-Nation(Region) Research Center, Translation Studies Research Center, Linguistics Research Center.
