To mark the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death, Professor Wang Hongyin delivers a lecture entitled “Romeo and Juliet: Research, Translation and Postmodern Creation” on April 15. This is the second of the serial lectures master’s supervisors offered for graduates in the College of Foreign Languages.
Apart from an in-depth analysis of the characters and background of the play Romeo and Juliet, Professor Wang also shared his own translation with the audience, as well as postmodern creations. The audience said the lecture can help them understand classics and broaden their academic horizons.
