On April 1, the final of foreign songs contest was successfully held as the closing ceremony of the 24th Foreign Languages Festival of Nankai University.
There were 20 contestants emerged as the best singers in the preliminary competition, who mainly came from China, South Korea, and Russia etc. After 2 rounds of “I Sing and I Show” and “Strive for Best Singer”, Wang Jun, a student of the CFL, won the championship. The second was Chen Chen, a student from Zhou Enlai School of Government, and the third winners was Chen Nuo, a student from Tianjin Foreign Studies University.
The foreign songs contest also ended as the closing ceremony of the 24th Foreign Languages Festival. The festival’s theme was “Conversance with both Eastern and Western Learning and Brilliant Translations”, with its key words of “academic” and “international perspective”. The main activities included “British Parliamentary Debating Ceremony of Beijing and Tianjin”, with the aim of developing a Nankai characteristic aesthetics of “public Interests and all-round capabilities”, and fostering a rich academic atmosphere. The festival is aiming to provide an academic exchange and contest stage to further the students’ international perspectives.
