On March 27, Dubbing Contest, one of the themes of the 24th Foreign Languages Festival, was held at Nankai University. After the application and selection process, 9 teams entered the final contest. The appointed judges were Ms. Dong Ni, vice president of New Channel Tianjin, Yi Qianghe, an undergraduate student of 2012, interpreter of U16 national football team, and sport host of broadcasting station of Nankai University, and Chen Kenzhuo, the winner of the 22nd Dubbing Contest and admission candidate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The contest was divided into two rounds: the prepared dubbing and improvised dubbing. In the contest, the contestants tried their best to make the audience laughing from time to time. At the end of the contest, Zhu Gangsong, an undergraduate student of 2015, and the Single-Selected-Ice team, won the champion for their perfect dubbing of Hotel Transylvania and improvised colorful performances.
It is said that Dubbing Contest was one of the traditional activities of the Foreign Languages Festival, and it was warmly welcomed by the students for its audio and visual effect. The aim of the contest is to make the students practice their speaking English, to foster their teamwork spirit, to enrich their extracurricular life, and to set up a stage on which to display themselves and realize their dreams.
