Recently, East Asian Studies (ISSN 2423-8422) jointly sponsored by the Research Center of East Asian Studies of CFL and Literature Department of Graduate School of Kokugakuin University, was firstly published in Japan.
Journal of East Asian Studies has 6 editors who are appointed from China and Japan by both sides, and its advisors includes Professor Tatsumi, who is honorary professor of Kokugakuin University and visiting professor of CFL, and Professor Wang Xiaoping, who comes from College of Liberal Arts of Tianjin Normal University.
The fist published journal contains 14 theses from China and Japan, including literature, history, culture, and folk customs etc. One of those theses, “The cultural formation and development of Plum and Oriole from the comparative perspective of Japan and China”, was contributed by Dr. Han Wen, a young teacher from CFL. Some graduate students also presented their research achievement in the column of Graduate Students.
The openly published journal was the landmark achievement jointly reached by CFL of Nankai University and College of Liberal Arts of Kokugakuin University. It was also the milestone of CFL’s research internationalization, and the good sign that the Center of East Asian Studies is operating very well.
In the near future, supported by the two sides, the journal will be published regularly once every year, the layout of the journal will be extended in the aim of making it an international famous academic journal.
