The Sixth Japanese Study Seminar was held in Tianjin

From March 19 to 20, the sixth Japanese Study seminar, jointly sponsored by Japan Foundation for International Exchanges, CFL of Nankai University, and Japanese College of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, was held in Tianjin.

Professor Liu Yuzhen, vice chairman of China Japanese Education Association and vice dean of CFL of Nankai University, chaired the opening ceremony.

Yanagisawa, Director of Japan Foundation for International Exchanges, Professor Yan Guodong, Dean of CFL, and Professor Xiu Gang, President of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, delivered their opening address respectively.

Up to now, East Asian Japanese Study seminar has been held five times respectively by China, Japan, and South Korea. Professor Han Lihong of CFL joined the first seminar in Cheju Island of South Korea, and Professor Liu Yuzheng attended the fourth seminar in Pusan of South Korea and the fifth seminar in Awaji Island of Japan.

Topic for discussion were reflections on the history and the development of Eastern Asian Japanese Study, discussion on new issues and new research methods in the new period, and set up academic communication platform for the related Japanese Study institutes.

The attended scholars and experts warmly discussed those topics and brought the seminar to a successful close. The holding of this seminar had great significance to strengthen the communication and cooperation of Eastern Asian Japanese Study.
