On January 15, a students’ form on general English teaching reform was held in the main building of Nankai University, Balitai.
At the forum, Zhu Guanglei, vice president of the university, stressed the key role of quality in education and the need for flexibility while following the law of education. The purpose is to create a beneficial atmosphere for both students and teachers.
Li Xia, vice dean of FLC, delivered a report entitled “a College English Curriculum System with the Objective of Cultivating International Talents.” Through a combination of teaching methods and skills, the curriculum system tailors teaching to students with different degrees of English proficiency. The goal is to cultivate innovative talents with international perspectives and cross-cultural awareness, as well as good command of English.
