College of Foreign Languages (CFL) held a ceremony to hire international well-known linguist Huang Yan as a visiting professor of Nankai University.
Professor Liu Yuzhen, Vice Dean of CFL, chaired the ceremony and introduced Professor Huang’s academic resume. Professor Yan Guodong, Dean of CFL, conferred the Certificate of Visiting Professor to Professor Huang Yan.
After the ceremony, Professor Li Bing, doctoral supervisor from Department of English, chaired Professor Huang’s academic report for the teachers and students of CFL. The title of Professor Huang Yan’s report is “Marking of De Se Attribution and Neo-Gricean Pragmatics: Logophoric Expressions in West African Languages and Long-Distance Reflexives in East, South, and Southeast Asian Languages.”
